Ergo Baby Carrier
From Courtney in Sarasota, FL:
The item I am reviewing is the Ergo baby carrier. I love that this
carrier can be used on the front when baby is young, but also on the
back as baby grows. As a petite mommy, by the time my kids are about 7
months old, my back was killing me with the front carrier only (like
the baby bjorn). But, with the Ergo, I was able to keep baby close and
still be comfortable for several more months. I carried my youngest on
my back in the Ergo well past her turning 18 months and probably would
have used it longer except that I am pregnant again and my growing
belly has gotten in the way.

Crocodile Creek Puzzles
From Scott in Peoria, AZ:
My 3 year old absolutely loves Crocodile Creek puzzles, whether in the fancy suitcase or not. They are colorful and easy to assemble, he asked to do one of his several puzzles every day. It provides opportunity for picture and color clarity, sequencing, building and independent play. They are great puzzles and i would highly recommend them, Target carries them for 14.99 in the suitcase box or 7.99 in a puzzle box.

Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Smart Bounce and Spin Pony
From Tanya in Virginia Beach, VA:
Fisher-Price’s Bounce and Spin Pony has an interactive TV component and retails for $70 and is recommended for children 12-36 months. It does have a weight limit of 44 pounds and requires 3 AAA and 3 C batteries.
The instructions for set up are very clear and easy to follow. You will need a screwdriver for assembly. It can be a bit difficult to snap together the pieces of the base and once they are together they do not come apart. Since the base does not come apart it does take quite a bit of space to not only use this toy, but also to store it.
I had the opportunity to not only have my nephew Play with the Bounce and Spin pony but also several of my friends’ children who ranged in age from 15 months to 30 months. My nephew, who was 20 months at the time, enjoyed the Bounce and Spin Pony, however it did not hold his attention for very long. His little friends enjoyed the pony very much. One little girl (21 months) absolutely loved it and bounced and spun for a good 20 minutes.
I was not impressed with the interactive TV component of this product, but the toddlers loved it, which is all that counts. I’m not sure they fully understood that things would happen as they bounced, but they enjoyed watching it all the same. I would have liked to see better graphic, to me it looked like it was about 15 years behind the current technology that is available.
Overall I think this is a good product. The kids enjoy playing with it but as I said before it does take up quite a bit of space. If you have a large area to keep this in I highly recommend it, if you are limited on space you may want to rethink getting this toy.

Barbie My House
From Tanya in Virginia Beach, VA:
I grew up playing with barbies, so in a twist of nostalgia, I bought the Barbie My House for my 4 year old daughter and another for my 8 year old daughter. My 8 year old is an avid Barbie fan, while my 4 year old likes building things more. So this was a great test for the toy.
From the commercials and the box I didn’t expect much other than a simple house for the Barbie’s to play in. However, when I opened it up, I realized it comes with a house full of furniture! The kids were both excited! Now the pieces in many cases are small so if you have a child under 3, which I also have, it’s important to watch the pieces. The house opens up easily and there are two pieces that you can move around so that the house is arranged the way you want.
This toy easily passed my 8 year old’s test and it quickly became a favorite toy. She loves being able to have a house with furniture for her Barbie. My 4 year old even enjoyed it! She had fun playing with her big sister and is able to manipulate the house and of course play with the pieces. Oh, I forgot to mention, this house is very detailed, even the bathroom and kitchen have the accessories they need to make it real. This toy also passed my test! The toy stores away easily and folds up small so that it doesn’t take up room. My kids have had hours of enjoyment already.

Evenflo ExerSaucer Mega – Farmyard
From Meaghan in Arizona:
I had a little boy last October and it has been so fun to see what he likes and dislikes as far as toys go. He really likes his Excer-saucer that we bought him from Target. It has many toys he can play with and use as a teether toy. This is the one we bought below.

Britax Marathon
From Dawn in Illinois:
After four months of reading reviews and debating I decided to buy the Britax Marathon. As an ER nurse I cannot tell you the importance of a good car seat used properly. Regardless of what car seat one may buy, if it is not installed correctly you have lost many of its important benefits. This is one reason I love the Marathon. Proper installation is a breeze, I should know I now have four of them. My son rides comfortably and getting him in and out is easy.
